2 Questions

1. Where has the time gone???
It's a week til Christmas! Time has flown since I moved. Sadly, I won't be in Alabama with my family for Christmas. Thanks to way over priced airplane tickets who knows when I'll be back. It's gonna be so weird being away from my family. I miss them.

2. Where is the snow???
I thought at least I'll get a white Christmas this year since I'm in Colorado. Well that sure doesn't look like its gonna happen unless I'm in the mountains. We've gotten no snow more than a dusting since Veteran's Day and even then it was just a couple inches. This time last year they had 25+ inches by now. It's been snowing like crazy up in the mountains but it seems impossible to get any in Denver....stupid. I know it'll happen sooner or later but I'm still anxious.

I went skiing last weekend. Ahh skiing how I love it. I busted my face pretty good like 4 times. It had been snowing and was super powdery snow so when you fell it didn't hurt at all. I had so much fun even though by the end of 2 runs down the slope my muscles were dying. I can't wait to go again. Kash was super cute in the snow. He LOVED it.

Meadow was having fun in it, too

My new family. Kash, Jason, Lanae, and Meadow
They're awesome.

The sweetest kids ever

Last week Hoke's mom sent me this picture message of Hoke and a little something he drew...

He said he drew me and him and the babies and put it on pink paper cuz it's my favorite color. The best part is that she said he did it all on his own. Yes, it brought tears to my eyes.

I miss Nick
aka Niiiiick aka Nick Nick aka Sweet boy aka Nickalicious
I miss those days when he was so tiny and would just sleep in my arms all day long. I miss his deep baby laugh when you would tickle him. I miss how he would kick his legs and smile when I would get to work in the morning. I miss walking in his room after his nap and he would be standing up and just smile when he saw me. I miss him a lot.

I miss Sara Lane
aka Sissy aka Pretty Girl
I miss watching her scoot across the floor on her bottom before she could walk. I miss her saying "no" to every question I asked. The cutest no I've ever heard. "Did you sleep good?" "No" I miss teaching her to say please("peas"), thanks("tanks") yes ma'am and no ma'am because there was one day I went to get her out of her crib after her nap and I asked "Did you sleep good? and she said "yes ma'am" and I almost died from her cute-ness. I miss her singing her Abcd's, as she called them. I miss singing wheels on the bus. I miss watching "Mickey ouse" and singing Diego to her and her singing along saying "Egooo Egooo GO Ego GO" So much I miss. But most of all I miss being called Kissa. I'll never forget the first day she said it. I had been trying and trying to get her to say it. I had been off for a few days and in Colorado and the first day I got back to work I was changing her diaper and I pointed to myself and said "Kissa" and then she said it. And from that day on she said it all the time. She'd wake up from her naps and start calling my name "Kissa! Kissa!" It melts my heart. Gosh I miss her.

I miss Hoke
aka Hokey(as named by Sara Lane)
I miss watching ICarly with him. I miss playing Madden on the Wii. I miss playing Wii tennis and him almost always beating me. I miss riding on the golf cart and singing crazy songs with him. I miss him dancing and beat boxing. I miss building forts. I miss singing "Life is a Highway" every time we were in my car. And I also miss him singing the Eclipse soundtrack with me cuz we listened to that a lot :) I miss his goofy 6 year old boy self.

A Day at Denver Zoo

So while my sister, Erika, was here we went to the zoo with this precious little boy...

Kash is little. Smaller than a penguin apparently

This was by the bears. They were my favorite.
They were eating pumpkins and playing and being entertaining unlike the sleeping polar bear.

Kash's hand compared to a bear's paw print. I love this pic.

Ok, so they really love animal statues in this city. Not just at the zoo. Wait, you'll see.

Kash on a baby hippo statue.

Kash really liked Erika. I think the feeling was mutual.

We went back by the playful bears where I took this awesome action shot after they were wrestling in the water.

Our sister bracelets we got for $1 at Claire's.
I wear the E she wears the K AWWWW! I know :)
more animal statues...
This is outside the ice skating rink. (not at the zoo)
You may ask why there are several horse statues outside of an ice skating rink. Yea, I don't know. But they were fun to play on. They had this huge one all 3 of us fit on and little Kash size ones too. They also would "neigh" when you walk by.

And this is at Cherry Creek Mall. Swans flying into a fountain? They had more random animals here, too but this is the only picture I have.

So the zoo was fun. It's HUGE! My feet were so tired afterward cuz we had to see everything. And they're expanding it too so it's gonna get even bigger. Did you know Denver zoo is the greenest zoo in America? Well, it is. Denver is all about being green, and biking, and animal statues.

We did a lot while Erika was here. This is just a fraction of it. I may post more later.
This was up in Boulder...
miss you titer :(
come back really soon!

Birthday Part I

Birthday started out great when I got my first presents from my Mom and Dad. They pretty much did a perfect job with the gifts this year.

How cute is that watch and those earrings?! Real cute.

Ok, so I might be easy to buy for considering all it takes to make me happy is anything houndstooth/Alabama. I can't forget the best birthday present my Dad got me before I left for Colorado...

Houndstooth luggage :)
Which was a great way to make me really, really want to fly back to Bama to use it. I'll always accept bribes if they're this cute :) Not like I wouldn't visit before, but now I'll be stylin' through the airport.

Thursday before my birthday my new family took me out for a birthday dinner with them. And by family I mean the family I'm working for/living with here. They're basically awesome. And Laura came, too. She's the nanny I took over for here. She's still living in Denver, but her nanny time just came to an end :( I know how she feels. So she came along to celebrate....annoying! Just kidding she's awesome.

We ate at Hacienda Colorado. It was YUMMY. They gave me a sweet card and a picture of my present. Which is houndstooth snow boots!!! They are super cute and I'll post a pic as soon as they're here :)

Too much birthday stuff to talk about so I'll post more later.

Wonderful week so far

The other day Adam came over and surprised me with flowers :) He knows I only like flowers by surprise and not on special occasions so he did good.

They pretty up my room

On Tuesday I took Kash to the rec center where they have this awesome play area for kids. It hangs from the ceiling. Super cool!

He would've probably stayed on this bridge the entire time if I'd let him. He loved it!

And today we went to baby story time at the library. There was a special guest lady today and she played this crazy string instrument and then she played spoons. Yea spoons! She held two in her hand and would hit them on her knee, or hand, mouth, or fingers and it was totally cool.

Then we came home and had lunch

Watch this video. Kash speaks baby Chinese. It's the cutest thing.

My Weekend

Friday night Adam took me to dinner and a movie. The plan was to see Going the Distance(the movie about a long distance relationship) but it wasn't playing anymore so instead we went to see this.

I had seen so many commercials for it and thought it looked pretty funny and it was pretty hilarious. I definitely will own this when it comes out on DVD.

Saturday we went up to beautiful Estes Park. Not just us, but about half the state of Colorado joined us. I've never seen it so crowded. Traffic was crazy and once in the park there were people parked everywhere. Parking lots were full and so were the sides of the streets. It was crazy. The guy at the gate told us it was free day...when normally its $20 a day(We have an annual pass though) We didn't know if he was just saying it was free day but quickly realized he wasn't kidding after we got in the park. We ate our subs from Jersey Mike's aka best sub place everrr and then attempted to hike. The altitude literally killed me and I was so out of breath and I was walking sooo slow. So we found some nice rocks to lay on and enjoy the perfect weather.

Doesn't it look so fall-ish?

yes, we're cute ;)

So we were heading home and I was dying to know about the Bama game...and was so proud of myself for not checking my phone and finding out who won. I had it recorded so when we got back to my place we began watching it. Well, I finished that game in under an hour because I was fast forwarding through all the crappy parts. Which you know if you watched it that Bama was sucking for a lot of that game. Adam finally got to see how serious I was about my team and I scared him with how intense I was with yelling at the TV and covering my eyes with a pillow when I couldn't stand to watch our 3rd downs. But WE WON so I was happy! Roll Tide!

Sunday we were SUPPOSED to go to church but Adam's lazy butt wanted to sleep instead. Then we went to get some yummy lunch at
YUM!

After lunch we went to the mall and Adam bought some new clothes and then I got a Wetzel Pretzel
Ahh-mazing

Then we went back to his place and watched football and then made dinner. It was a pretty great weekend :)

AND this weekend is going to be even better because I discovered bamadenver.com! Which basically is for Alabama fans who live in Denver. They meet at this bar on Saturdays and watch the Alabama games! YAY! We are going this weekend! Hopefully Adam will see that I'm not as crazy as some Bama fans out there :)
